New Hip, Who Dis?

Hey friends!
I've been the proud owner of a new hip for exactly 1 month and 1 day, and I mean, so far so good.

I don't have any complaints really - physical therapy is going well, the bruising has mostly went away, the scar won't be large.

Oh, and I can walk without pain which is uh, pretty frigging amazing... minor detail...

Major detail: I am so thankful to have wonderful family and friends in my life, many of whom took time out of their own lives to check in on us, bring food, and babysit me while I was down! You are all very appreciated and very loved!

An extra large thank you goes out to the Sanders family for the AWESOME cards they so thoughtfully made me! Talk about perfection! Steph, any time you'd like to cook for us, we're ready and willing! XOXO

I'm going to close this little post out now. I have a whole bunch of pretty good content headed your way in the near future (because our life is like a constant blooper reel...), but I felt like obviously this new hip was the elephant in the room and it needed to be acknowledged.

Also, the last month has been spent soaking up every little minute with my kids before they went back to school. In short, it's been a delicious little slice of life!

Have a great weekend, and keep your eyes peeled for future updates!

Though She Be But Little She Is Fierce

There are a lot of kids in our family. I haven’t exactly made it my mission to be “the cool aunt”, I have tried my hardest to establish myself as “the quirkiest aunt”.

At this point, I feel like I’ve done my part in teaching my nieces and nephews some of life’s biggest lessons:

1. When the opportunity presents itself, always stop to pet cats and dogs
2. “Cement trucks” are actually mixing up milkshakes
3. Scars are cool because they mean you’re tough

My youngest niece, Delilah, is 7 and on occasion she’ll send me a text message.

So. Damn. Proud.
